I’m running 1.5km every day for two weeks already. Anxiety still strikes sometimes. Depression is measurably better, but it was getting better months ago when I started taking fluvoxamine, so I can’t attribute this to running alone.

Running will help me in another way though: my mental health will definitely be going through the roof when I look in the mirror and see the beautiful, albeit scarred, slender body I posessed before it all started.

    1.5km is not a lot tbh. Do you work with intervals? You run two minute, you walk one (or three) minutes. You'll get to 5km that way.

    I advise you to learn Dutch and use the "Hardlopen with Evy" app. She's the best. Since she also picks the song you're running on, not from your own lib but her choice. In general good music, prevents getting distracted by doing yourself

    Running also helps me a lot. I also find rollerblading very relaxing. I was prescribed Cipralex many years ago but never took it. I saw how it affected some people and decided I rather rawdog through life.

    @NickyBones Cipralex is neither heroin nor datura — it won’t cause irreversible harm. I suggest you try it if you feel desperate. It changed my wife’s life

    I started taking tryptophan which is just an amino acid and my brain is more active now

    never had issues dealing with depression though. fatigue is unrelated to my mood it seems.

    @NickyBones thank God. +1 for the drama here too. Sadly, I can't decide it for myself anymore, forced injections every month (haldol). Yes - it exists. #blackMirror

    @lopu no, we can't be too nice for people giving just average performance. That's how our sector is dying and will die.

    1.5km, where I come from that's where the neighbors live.

    Also, running is afaik not much better than walking. Running only causes injuries.

    I'm sure the kiker has done 5km by now. But really, do dem intervals. It's the way to learn, else you torture yourself.

    1.5km, no alcohol and drugs her whole life 😂 That paid off 😂
