Hello guys, do you think i5-7200U and 8gb ram will be ok for wpf development or should I get i7-7500U and 16gb ?

Definately 16GB, the faster the cpu the better (have a 6600k myself for winforms 3m lines with resharper and that is pushing it sometimes....)

There is something to be said for running code on machines that are closer in spec to your users.

More powerful machines are better if you are doing heavy compiles, which shouldn't be the case for web development.

That suggests saving some cash and getting the lower spec machine, (which is still pretty decent - I presume it has an SSD which is the main thing).

Ssd is a good requirement as wel, but having a slow dev machine costs way to much time in a day. If the user experience is a requirement get a virtual machine or an actual machine that would be used by the customer. These usually have slower IO, ram, cpu, gpu e.t.c.

It's enough, but if you can afford it... Why not? :)

640K should be enough for anyone ;)
