I know lots of you like to shit on Apple. Generally I'm with you.. but I need to share something with you.

My Mid-2009 MacBookPro is still kicking.
Sure, over the years I've changed it to SSD, maximized the ram and changed the thermal gel.. although it sounds more like a jet plane than a notebook, it runs latest OS X (not macOS 🙄) and is still great for web development in 2017.
I mean it really runs pretty good for a 8+ years old machine. It really does.

But fuck no I ain't paying Apple ever again. I know FOR SURE once this piece of heavenly garbage is officially dead I'm getting myself a (most probably refurbished) ThinkPad.

I've just started using my MacBook pro from 2012 again after some screen issues. Works like a charm and have no problems at all with the programs.

my wife's using a 2012 MBP. it's also quite solid but ironically it's an Intel 4000 (no)GPU version so mine with a GeForce is actually better in some (specific) uses..

@BindView I wonder how. Just Chrome, and Atom eats 1.5 GB of my RAM.
WEBPACKS takes another 1 GB with it
