⚽ Fuck this sportsball world cup shit. ⚽

Yes, very exciting. 22 people are chasing a fucking ball on a field. I wouldn't even care but every time a ball chasing match is on, their retarded fans start shouting drunk on the streets and the fucking internet speed drops to almost zero because the provider apparently gives extra bandwidth to those who are streaming this highly sophisticated form of entertainment.

You know what? I have something for you to suck on if you are so fond of balls.

It's not like I don't grant then their fun the annoying thing is that it's everywhere.
People shouting in the streets, honking their horns, promotions, special offers. I'm basically getting stuffed with posters and foodballcards everytime I go shopping.

Heh. ++’d, I don’t tend to like football either.

@hexc because people who like football are not civilized? I like football, our country has failed to get there (Netherlands). But I like the drama and I can enjoy a nice goal.

Lol, as much as i dont enjoy the corporate circus that FIFA is, having most of the planet get together for an event is quite amazing.

You re entitiled to your opinion even if its shit!

And yeah some fans are drunk for sure and those people are scum as they only look for fights. And they should probably get kicked out into space.

I dont enjoy the olympics as much they reflect the same feeling.

Little fact: During 1st world war the german and french and a football game for christmas, in the middle of the trenches before going back to killing each other.

TBH as long as it it's soccer it rugby, I'll cheer and watch it. Not a fan of the violent fan shit, though. Also not a fan of idiotic "e sports".

I don't understand the "obsession" with it. I'm from England and there are a lot of people who enjoy watching it on TV either at home or in a bar/pub.

It's not something that has ever interested me.

I once had to call for an ambulance because two guys were having a drunken argument over football, and one hit the other who then fell unconscious on the ground and I think swallowed his tongue - with his son next to him crying his eyes out. It is the only time I have ever had to phone the emergency services.

More recently, I have been startled occasionally by one of my neighbours yelling loudly whenever a goal happens or someone misses a shot etc.

I don't doubt that it requires skill to play and be good at, but I really do not see why fans are so passionate about it to the extent that they fight or yell :/

@dontbeevil Of course, but I mean even the "positive" reaction to it (yelling with excitement at the TV when a goal is scored, or yelling when someone misses) is something I don't understand.

If you're in the crowd actually at a football game, I'd understand - maybe even if you're watching it among a crowd of people in a bar/pub. But if you're sat at home watching the TV...?

My dad used to do something similar when he'd watch the horse-racing. He'd be yelling "COME ON!" to the horse on TV that he wanted to win. Usually he'd have money bet on that horse but it wouldn't have been much.
