    Nothing can come close to IE's notoriety.

    I know the pain, especially when you don’t have a Mac where you can run Safari’s Developer Tools but at least it adds some competition in the browser arena preventing a Chromium monopoly.

    @-red
    While Microsoft has finally learned its lesson, Apple is still trying though.

    @DEVil666
    There really isn't anything wrong with a Chromium browser engine monopoly. It is FOSS after all...

    Come up with your own web browser

    Stop rewriting history. Internet Explorer was deliberately incompliant with Web standards. Safari is standards compliant, just behind on new stuff.

    lol IE wasn't just "non-compliant". It was also buggy as hell, poorly maintained, proprietary AF, and so on, just like Safari is. It's the IE of Apple with the difference that webkit is open source at least.

    I can't even count all the bugs or wrong behaviors I've seen on safari recently. A browser is such a critical piece of an operating system nowadays, I do not understand why they can't make this a higher priority.

    @Oktokolo I lnkw but in my opinion competition is good in FOSS too, to make a parallel Linux is great but sometimes it’s nice to be able to count on FreeBSD.
