What is the current points for a bike? (motor or pedal?)
I am inclined to reward partial points to Team Boomer for effort. ;-)
Sorry man, one of my worst fears is hitting someone on a bike. You okay? -
@vane I can't wait to see what you come up with!
-
@Chewbanacas yeah, Sagers are the easiest to work on lappy I have ever had. Lots of space. Apples like to be credit card thin.
I have 2 M.2 drives and a 2.5 ssd installed at the same time.
Edit: Also new sagers have 4 or 5 usb slots on the outside. Plus two diff types of video and network. -
@Chewbanacas I buy laptops now because I like the portability. But even when I rand a desktop I didn't end up upgrading the system. I just bought new stuff anyway. By the time I upgraded even a shitty motherboard was better than what I had.
I have a 3 year old laptop and I am eyeing those 24 core Sager lappys right now. -
@lorentz lol, you are savage man!
-
The C looks fine, but the Rust code looks cursed. Stockholm syndrome most likely.
Edit: Would rather do this in C++. -
lol, why people downvote this?
-
@kobenz this reminds me of early days of Microsoft maps. Microsoft replaced Apple headquarters with a shack surrounded by sheep on their map. This was to poke fun at Apple. At one time Apple was having issues with funding so instead of landscaping by people they got some sheep on loan to cut the grass. At least that is the story I heard.
-
Not sure what MS is like now. But in the 90s I heard they brought prostitutes to the office in Redmond.
-
@shovethisrant I deleted my account. I will another if I want one. It was just a cesspool of spammers and data collectors.
-
@awesomeest I had game genie with the snes. That was fun!
-
@awesomeest the broken machines when I was a kid were the ones that gave you electric shocks when you touched the bolts.
I did enjoy the odd hacked Street Fighter game though. -
@TeachMeCode
https://youtube.com/watch/...
When I worked in Roy Utah the university radio station played this non stop for 3 straight days 24 hours a day. -
@jestdotty careful, they might flush you outa the matrix.
-
Old enough to have a phone, old enough to learn to manage the space on a phone. They will learn faster than the adults.
-
@TeachMeCode somebody once described Chuck E Cheese as a gambling casino for kids.
-
@TeachMeCode McPizza... dude, I am dying here. lol
-
@awesomeest I mean they are not even gaynbow colored cd cases.
-
@vane maybe talk to the Mojeek guy. I heard it was a search engine in some dudes closet in the UK. That might be an exaggeration, but I can find things there I cannot find elsewhere.
-
@awesomeest when I running only Linux I found a lot of fun games. However the ones I like to play now are a pain in the ass on Linux. If I could go back to my Windows 7 that never updated I would. A golden era where I learned that if you bought OEM version it never ran updates (or some weird shit). Didn't get updates for 10 years. It was glorious. Shit just worked and I never got "hacked".
-
@awesomeest I don't think its all fake. The magi from the middle witnessed a conjunction of planets that seemed pretty important. A friend of mine tracked down the celestial events they would have witnessed both in the middle east and in Bethlehem. It occurred twice. It just doesn't seem relevant to software.

@awesomeest Bill Gates has always had connections with what I would consider sketchy or privileged organizations (people who espouse the philosophy of eugenics). A relative helped him land contracts with government to help push out early competition. He sold phone adapters so in college so people could get free long distance. He is the epitome of scum. He would give mainframes viruses and then sell the cure. I think in the future people will recognize him as a mass murderer. I didn't understand the pie to the face that he got in the 80s/90s until a few years ago. I used to believe the propaganda surrounding his success. There is a lot of good reasons his wife left him.
Anyway, I need to stop. People get all bent out of shape if I go further. -
@awesomeest microsoft does have a "its for your own good" vibe going at times...
-
@12bitfloat this just screws any cross platform support in vulkan for AMD. I wonder how Godot solves this issue?
-
@12bitfloat that is cursed then. But it has support from Direct X? That would be THE platform you would support.
-
So I remember a while back that NVidia support on Linux was awesome. Then it wasn't. When it wasn't AMD support was awesome. Are we back to AMD support sucking and Nvidia support is awesome on Linux again?
This kind of shit makes me not think Linux can be a good gaming platform. -
"Astrology Professional"... have we gone beyond the event horizon for the collapse of society? Are we just waiting for the universe to implode?
I would connect to an "Astronomy Professional" though. They probably have need of database work. Also, they have cool toys that are run by computers. -
@Probabil
-
@donkulator a lot of the posts here are inspiration for xkcd.
-
@connormon maybe we need to rename it Redmond syndrome.
