Been fighting with PDD (dysthymia) for about 7 years now, does any of you suffer from mental disorder (depression, anxiety, things like that) and has some advice to share?

Depression. I just sleep it off, until it goes away. I find that alcohol can trigger a bout of depression. So I only drink on Fridays. Giving chance to recover.

@rutee07 mine is persistent depressive disorder and it's been diagnosed in recent times but started before I can even remember, at least 7 years ago, and it's getting worse since I lost my mum a month ago. Fortunately I've never been into alcohol or drugs, just can't find motivation to wake up at morning, to study and finish university or to find a job. I can't enjoy my hobbies anymore, everything I do feels like a waste of time. My life is going in pieces and I feel so hopeless. Yet everybody thinks that I'm just lazy and immature...

@helloworld mine is persistent, it doesn't go away with sleep. Sometimes feels a little lighter but it's definitely always there.
