I miss blimps, concordes and space races. I miss moon landings. Meanwhile Nepal runs GMT+5:45.

    What’s the point of a timezone deviating by 15 minutes from a whole hour?

    @Lensflare I guess it can be religious, that the 15 minutes align sunrise with some temple or similar.

    Old Japanese time keeping would be much more challenging :), they had equal number of hours during day as during night, even if the day is longer than the night, and even as the day changes length over the year.

    The sun alway rise at the same hour and sets at the same hour :)

    Recently saw a video of it and it was quite interesting and an eye opener.
