@jestdotty this will be just contract based work. Similarly to this there will be a couple more contract based works.
Then they will see if they have the vacancy and then they will think about onboarding me as a full-time developer
They said they will offer me equity after joining full-time only, didn't tell me about the CTC yet -
@Nanos thanks for sharing
-
@Nanos understand. Thanks for the advice. I just sent him my timeline and now waiting for his response
-
@retoor I am not underestimating it. I just want to make sure that I am joining the right company
I just don't want to regret anything afterwards -
@Nanos I wonder that's how the SAAS products are built. Just taking the code from an open source project and making some tweaks in it and then just launch your own company??
-
@Nanos No, I don't think they own any physical server. This should be done on a vps
-
@Nanos there is nothing realistic as of now. There are only two people in the company but the good thing is that both of them are senior people having over 10 years of experience.
Yes they are offering shares but that will be confirmed after setting this SAAS code on a server and making it run within a few days. Then only they will offer a full-time role
Not sure if they will make money or not through this product. -
@nururururu thanks man, noted need to rework on the resume from a business person perspective
-
@msdsk oh, man! I am based in India here it is about 1 or 2 pages is enough. Though i do apply to international remote jobs
-
@iceb won't that make it too long?? As it is already 2 page long
-
@msdsk yeah. Just needed some real experienced people's advice too
-
@Fast-Nop noted
Thanks -
Thanks everyone for your valuable responses
I think openvpn --status trick worked. Waiting for the client's response -
@C0D4 it's just that client needs it in php
-
@Jifuna I think openvpn --status will do the job
-
@tosensei @Jifuna like openvpn command doesn't simply return true or false if the openvpn config file is connectable or not
-
@tosensei @Jifuna I tried that the very first but didn't work since after invoking the openvpn on console, like if it is connected the shell_exec function will never stop
-
@tosensei he just needs to pass some random collected openvpn configs to the script and print only the working openvpn configs
-
@Jifuna i should've said no to him. I tried going through openvpn client code and other open-source openvpn client codes but couldn't understand any of it
@tosensei client needs it -
@ScriptCoded client needs it in php
-
@electrode what if that someone is me

@Bubbles I have been doing freelancing for 1.5 years on Fiverr. In my experience, you just need to have good experience with the service you wanna provide and then can get started.
But it's tough to get your first client, as initially you don't have any ratings or reviews.
Fiverr is good platform if you're just getting started with freelancing, but to get more qualitative clients and projects you can use upwork.
Since you will ask the client about his/her requirements, thus it is in your hand whether to accept the project or not.
Overall freelancing is a good way to get some side income, but can't rely on it for full time income. -
What do you want to know specifically??
-
Did you try using pycurl?

I applied to an internship and got selected but my friend showed me some other companies offers, that I didn't even know and those companies have better reputation than the one I got selected in. Now...
Sorry if that sounds stupid.
