@Demolishun an urban legend, it’s incorporated and they use spiders so their results are not deterministic, I want deterministic results
-
@awesomeest you got me thinking a little, do you think it’s possible to compress 80tb of content into 1tb of highest value things and search index build inside
the content needs to be locked in blockchain so every block would be website that anyone can compare hash for integrity
I’m thinking about building a filter that would filter most valuable 850gb and add 10gb index and desktop search app - cross platform, then share it on p2p so people can download and search old content
probably nobody would want stuff like that but well, that’s the plan
offline internet on pendrive -
.
-
@jestdotty don’t forget forget pixel avatars and binary user scores
it’s only pixelated social network on this planet -
@TeachMeCode obviously new internet, what else you can do when AI would own old one in couple of years
-
@Demolishun I’m thinking about crawling data and building index and search of not commercial websites
-
@awesomeest yeah going trough couple of warc looks like it’s mostly crap but well it would last for couple of years.
@Demolishun my work is my hobby :) -
I have a solution for you, stop thinking because that’s clearly the problem.
-
Now copy paste two more heads :)
-
I’m downloading last valid stackoverflow dumps right now xD
-
add border-image with flowers around those images so they look nice
-
@devdiddydog no money means no bros selling, no bros means no market
-
maybe they don’t care
-
Rather more money for managers that would say what developers can and what they can’t do.
More regulations and certifications. -
I like how companies are making tens of billion of dollars acquisitions and nobody cares, fast forward couple of years later when couple thousand people got fired or products are closed nobody is able to connect the dots what happened.
It’s like global brainwash. -
@lastNick I don’t care, I just want security features to fuck off from software, also which lan because I have couple vlans and all of my smart devices can’t access outside world or if so they have specific ports forwarded. Also all of my work, home, etc are separated.
We can talk about router exploits, wifi monitor mode, recording handshakes and cracking passwords. I believe I can access every wifi in my building but I don’t do it because I just want security to fuck off from me so I don’t have to turn everything off manually by myself.
You see the difference now ? -
@jestdotty Well I have no idea. From time to time things happen. I’m too dumb to understand it but once per decade shit hits the fan.
All I have are conspiracy theories and subjective conclusions about human mindset.
For me 90% of people are NPCs. I’m not saying it’s always but for most of things people are running on autopilot programmed by someone else. -
@jestdotty It might be this is just part of human nature to look how things behave after change.
My recent interests in subjection of thoughts and thoughts injection might make me a different conclusion but that’s just another conspiracy theory.
Might be also I’m slowly getting old and grumpy. -
@thebiochemic been there, rooting phone, building kernels and even whole aosp and then one day I woke up seeing how much time I spent maintaining my mobile phone. I don't want to go this path again if I don't have to and I don't see I have to do it right now.
-
I use iphone and I’m not using any of those features.
Using iphone because I’m tired of seeing ads about something I typed on my keyboard and that’s only nice looking mobile system that don’t steal my keyboard input and pass that to advertisers.
I feel old reading this.
I have faceid, siri, whatever they put ai into something that tries to steal from me disabled forever.
I have disabled icloud backups, keychains and any shit they send to cloud and I think it’s important.
I’m waiting for zoom out, make everything 2 times or even 4 times smaller.
I think I’m not gonna live long enough to see zoom out. I only see zoom in like accessibility is working out only for blind and disabled people, so as always fuck up smart people and do technology for idiots and dumbass.
Ability to zoom out screen is a game changer.
When websites started to force mobile versions I stopped using mobile to visit websites.
Literally who makes this big ugly shit up ?
Wait couple of years and you won’t have any button but AI will tell you who to call, who to speak to, who you need to write and about what. You’re smart tools enthusiasts. You would become one in hands of corporation that will own your thoughts, your speech, your image and would create your desires no matter you like them or not.
And they would make your life miserable and say here buy this to feel happy and you won’t feel happy anymore but keep buying those things.
I’m to old for that shit. I read the shit about technology these days and I can’t wait to quit and move somewhere where technology don’t exist.
It’s invasive, it’s abusing privacy rights, constitution and ability of free speech.
Fuck that shit. -
maybe gpt also deployed it because gpt wanted that when talked to other gpt
what’s real ? -
Give her a sharp razor and let her shave you, you will see how mad she is and if you won’t make it to the end everything else doesn’t matter.
-
@SoldierOfCode The question should be when you have time for sex while cooking.
-
I moved fatigue after coding and before submitting pull request.
So it’s still there but in different place.
Also I removed architecture part.
So now I just write code then complain about it and then ignore architecture and submit pull request. -
that’s where cooking is superior, you can cook and have sex at the same time
-
Ping
-
I saw couple of websites selling that kind of stuff
-
it’s easier to destroy hard drive than to burn document archive building - just saying what digitalization is for
-
just cover yourself with space blanket and you got 1$ emf protection, you can even make clothes from it
don’t forget your tinfoil hat -
@PaperTrail I think the biggest challenge with software migration is data migration so being able to build those kind of machines comes handy during migration time and building proof of concepts.
It's just how most of R&D in software works to be honest. You take two pieces and crap and you connect them together like obviously database and webserver and you suddenly are getting rest api and you can say that's nice but why we're sending those 20MB xml if we need key value objects or why we are sending those things synchronously if most of the time we spend waiting for data transmission.
Here we are 20 years later instead of wsdl sending json files, instead of thread pool applying async await pattern or as it was used to call 50 years ago actor model.
